Bit of a nightmare to make this here string. I made it straight until it would bend into the pile by his feet. Then I realized that's not how string works and spent plenty of time trying to fix it. Unsuccessfully. Whaaaps.
A continuation of Day 3: Bait. String notwithstanding, I love this piece to bits. It captures that retro anime/manga aesthetic with the hair and sideburns as over-glorified shapes that barely resemble hair at all. Crisp, sharp, clean. Funnily enough, looking back at this, I feel like he aged several years from Day 3. He looked seven or eight on Day 3. He looks 12 here. Of course, his hair was the tell for his visual identity, and that remains intact.
It's altogether a bit unfortunate, fortunate, and to be expected that my month-long event usually produce the best pieces in the collection. It makes sense and is good to improve over time, obviously, but I kinda wish I was banging this stuff out earlier on so it would look good coming out of the gate, you know?
He just looks so upset. I love it.
Thanks for reading~
