A 2nd version of Day 13's Colorful, this time in full greyscale. Hello, again, Dolly Moira Callahan or whatever your name is.
Not much to say about this one. In the initial stages, I was tempted to give her a pose that showed her hands. But this pose, like she's walking quickly or like the wind's blowing, stayed with me, and I relented. It fits the aloof persona I associate with this lady.
Also, the shine on her shades is not... quite right. Her face is turned in a 3/4 pose, but the shines seem to be between 3/4 and front view. The little glints of shine along the edges are cool, though. That being said, the large white streaks shouldn't reach to the very edges; there ought to be a bit of a black line between the shine and the shades' outline. It would help sell the volume of the shades.
But I like this piece very much. It's simple and has - take a shot - strong value contrast. The lineart is generally pretty strong as well. I particularly like the line break at the back of her head. Good for loosening things up.
Thanks for reading~
