Inktober 2019 Retrospective | Day 22: Ghost

Can't get enough of these ghosts, man.

I believe the original piece was meant to be a bit of a spread, not them all in a line. But really, I like this better. Gives the eye more to do. Certainly creates a more put-together sense of contrast. And this is quite a bit more endearing. It's like a mother duck leading her ducklings along, except they're all wearing quaint hats and they all look dead inside, no pun intended.

Once again, I ran out of time with this one. True, I did manage to blacken the sky and scatter some stars just before the clock rolled over to the next day. But had I not forced myself to stick to the self-imposed "do it before midnight" rule, I could have done a lot. Improved the transparency of the ghosts. Added some more variety in star size. Found some better hats, that would've been cool. Not all of them look that great, especially against the night sky. I might like to revisit this as a digital piece.

Of the little boy ghosts, the Jack-o-lantern hat is my fav. Of the girls, the polka dot bow.

You know, as much as I wanna do this digitally, I can't figure on what color scheme this would take on. I feel like two analogous and one compliment to one of the first two would be best, but which?

Thanks for reading~
