Inktober 2019 Retrospective | Day 8: Shadow

As I've once mentioned once before, it looks better when you squint.
Character designs are my favorite things to do, but if there's something I love, it's negative space. I wanted to do a much simpler piece using white as a shadow. Also figured I should do something ink-focused.
The concept is very cool, I think. I'd love to do a better version of this. It's the execution of this thing that's giving me the issue. This needs sharp, crisp lines done with a ruler. It also needs cleaner lines on the boy there. A better choice would have actually been to have the boy's back to us, maybe with his head in profile.
Really not much to say about this one. I do like this one but mostly in concept as opposed to execution.
