Clubbing WIP - It's Not Dead

It's not, really. In fact, much progress has been made. It's just that I'm not sure how interesting it would be for me to constantly post pictures of flats, saying, "aw yeah, here's me flatting again" several times in a row before I move into another stage a production and then do the whole thing all over again. But I figure I oughta say something about it every once in a while. Here's where we are thus far.
Oh, this face~
In addition to all character flatting, Jay's basic shading is complete by this time. I did Jay's work first because not only did I generally do all her stuff first, but because she's both easier to do her and I came up with her first.
Her coming first in my making her up is neither here nor there, but her being easier to shade is important. She's basically made up of balls from her eyes to her hair construction to her torso construction. Balls are more or less easy to shade, so it expedites that whole "well, where's the lighting?" thing. I don't have to think that hard about shading her.
Fortunately, in adding shading to her, she (and by extension, the comic) looks as though it's finally coming together.
Sheriff's isn't totally done just yet. He's actually a bit more complicated to shade because he's composed of a lot of "soft" angles. For instance, his chest is meant to be sorta triangular/pyramidal, but there are no true "hard" angles at play here, so where the light starts or falls off isn't totally set in stone. BUT, I still want to evoke that visual.
Ahh, well. God willing, I will be sharing more of the progress in the future. They (the "Clubbing" updates) will be dispersed amongst other WIPs' updates, but they should be coming. At any rate, thanks for watching.
