Clubbing WIP - Jay's New Color Palette

For the longest time, Jay's outfit has been that of a grey top, camo pants, and brown or black boots. Honestly can't remember what her boots looked like. I think it kept changing...

At any rate, I had long ago created color palettes for several characters, including Jay. But it was too complicated. The system was based on the idea of making shadows for every main color, i.e. shadows for skin, clothing, etc. Certain things would have highlights, too. The cherry on top? Nothing was labeled; I didn't know what went with what.

My style of color has changed since then. The flat colors are separate from the shadows and highlights, so that's all I would need for the color palette. In addition, not everything needs its own color. A few of the colors stand in for other colors, but the most important thing is that there are not many colors at play here.

Not only did I want to implement some simplicity into her (and Sheriff's) color palette, I wanted to make her more in line with her group. Her team wears red and green, and her uniform, as you can see, is mostly green. She looks far more related to her team, one of which is General Hudson Stone.

And of course, this makes flatting so much simpler~
