One of many babies that needed a bit of a facelift after the initial inking pass, this kid never quite sat right with me. It was his face. It was too stiff, not expressive enough. His eyebrows sat in near perfect alignment with each other, inflexible as a brick, and his hair was too stringy/spiky. Plus, his face just looked a bit gormless. Dumb-looking. Somehow, yet simultaneously overly intense. Just a confusing mess...

The revised version did two primary things. One, the PRIMARY primary thing, was to add expressiveness and a sort of clarity to his face. I changed the tall cartoon eyes for Dragon Ball-esque round black ones. Changed the nose, gave the eyebrows a bit of flair, and slightly repositioned the pupils to make them really focus in on the hair he's holding. Two, the other primary thing, was to fix the hair. I made it simpler and floppier. Now, it has a clear point of origin and falls in a more aesthetically pleasing fashion.
