Oh, the artist is in love with silhouette art and African fashion, both of which were powerful inspirations for this piece. They wanted something simple in design but something to which they could also apply a fair amount of detail. Leaving the pencils beneath the inks adds an additional bit of texture to the finished product. They've reported to hold this one as one of their favorites. I like this one, too~
