Redesigning Hudson Stone - Body and Posture

This part was fairly simple. Hudson's basic body type was a short, stocky man with a potbelly, and I wanted to keep that. The interesting bit came from when I did his profile. His general posture, seeing as Hudson is a cartoon, should communicate quite a bit about his personality. As I tried to simplify the base of his profile, I noticed his posture was too straight, too upright. Not that he's a dodgy character by any real means and being "upright" would be against his persona. But he is laid-back and casual. One of the best ways to communicate that is to give the laid-back casual a pronounced slouch. Stomach pokes out, knees bend forward a bit, and the neck cranes out. At least that's what's happening with this guy. Such a pose also serves to emphasize his potbelly as well as his age (he's implied to be in his late 40s at the very least).
I did an even more cartoony version at the bottom to see how well the posture works when done that simply. It works okay. Then I just did some sketches of him thinking, squatting, and stretching. Not particularly sure why.
