The flats of the fourth girl from "We City Folk." Of the girl characters, her design was one of the better ones that was executed. Usually, my pencils lose that special looseness when they transfer to inks, but this one, for whatever reason, kept a lot of its energy. Also, the expression was better than a lot of the better. Mostly because EYEBROWS.
If I learned anything from this series, it's that highly limited color schemes are not only more effective than I already thought they were, they also speed up the production.
From the beginning, I wanted her to wear the daisy shirt. It fits her personality, somehow. So because of that, her shoes had to be pink for the sake of palette. And because of that, her hair ties had to be pink. And of course, her the inside of her mouth is pink. But the daisy shirt doesn't just have pink; it's got white and yellow. So her tights had to be white, but just straight white would be too stark, so any white on her clothes should be tinged with pink. As for the yellow, her hair should be blonde. Plus, again, fits her persona, somehow... The green eyes and the standard red triangle nose offer nice pops of color.
