Good morning!
A few months ago, the artist prepared a set of pinups for a brand new speedpaint/art series titled "We City Folk."
This time, they have chosen the base the theme on a video game series they quite enjoy, Animal Crossing. Specifically, Animal Crossing: City Folk. In this Animal Crossing: City Folk, players are allowed to choose their countenance (or pick their face, if you prefer) by answering a series of questions and then further customize their appearance with various clothing, accessories, and hairstyles. There are eight faces for boys and eight for girls, totaling 16 different faces! That's a lot of people!
The faces, yes, are from Animal Crossing: City Folk, but for maximum customization, certain elements from other games in the Animal Crossing franchise make an appearance. Can you spot them all? I can't! I've never played a video game before, let alone Animal Crossing. I just write these things.
Based on these 16 faces, the artist created 15 different characters, each with his or her own name, personality, and design. Yes, that's 15, not 16. One villager, I'm told, already exists in another video game, but he's... a special case.
Pre-production is finished, but not for long! The brunt of "We City Folk" officially begins Monday, June 5th. Should they be blessed with the opportunity, they will take each picture from inks to flats to blocks to finished in two days, which makes two each round of weekdays. Including the creation of thumbnail images and relevant blurbs, production on "We City Folk" officially wraps up on Saturday, July 29th.
The artist has not planned precisely when the videos will be released, but the little pictures themselves will be released on this site after completion.
This time, don't hurt your hand!
