The inked lines of a sketch from my sketchbook.
Sometimes when I watch other speedpainters, I wish my lines were as thin and uniform as theirs. But when I actually look at my style, it's clear (at least to me) that the way I draw things is conducive to using thicker lines that fluctuate in weight.
Plus, it's the style of choice for some of my favorite artistic inspirations such as Silver Age comics and more stylized modern comics by the big two (Marvel and DC). Those are the types of linework that tickle my brain. Really, there's no real use in coveting techniques that wouldn't please me in the long term.
